Window Insulation

window insulation

Windows should offer both beautiful sunshine as well as ample thermal insulation. If your windows aren’t insulated or your current insulation is failing, your home can become draughty and damp. Choosing energy-efficient windows is a great start and keeping windows well-maintained will prevent gaps from appearing. However, adding an insulating layer can greatly reduce heat loss without having to replace your old windows.

We use superior window insulation to keep homes cooler in the summer and reduce heat loss in the winter.

What are the benefits of window insulation?

Window insulation can reduce energy costs for your home all year round. By retaining heat over the winter months you’ll need less energy to heat the space and with a cooler space in the summer, you’ll less likely to need electric fans to cool your home down.

Our insulation is a proven energy-saving solution and provides the following benefits:

Is My Home Suitable For Window Insulation?

All homes can benefit from window insulation. Plus, it is a perfect solution for older homes that don’t have double or triple glazing but that have sound window frames and glazing.

‘With the imminent winter season approaching, I contacted many companies but the response from this company was swift and in a timely manner. The insulation and the boiler installation were completed in a professional manner and I felt reassured that the team was always available to respond to any queries.’

Room in Roof Insulation

Room In Roof Insulation

A quarter of heat is lost through the roof in an uninsulated home. Insulating your loft, attic or flat roof is an effective way to reduce heat loss and reduce your heating bills.

Is Room in Roof Insulation suitable for my home?

A ‘Room in Roof’ is typically a room located in the attic of a house or bungalow which may have a dormer window. This room will have a fixed staircase, light source, and window and can sometimes be classed as an extra bedroom or bedrooms.

How will you insulate my Room in the Roof?

We will secure a specialist insulation board to the external walls, slopes, and ceilings of your room in roof. Your loft and/or residual areas will be insulated with mineral wool and access panels installed if required.

When the insulation has been completed, we will skim the insulated areas ready for you to re-decorate; the whole install process only lasts a few days with minimal disruption.

When undertaking retrofit, ventilation design must be addressed such that it can extract and supply sufficient air through safe, and correctly sized supply and extract points, to avoid excess humidity and poor indoor air quality throughout the building.

Yes. The surveyor will be investigating the condition of the roof- checking if there is any rot or decay of rafters, wall plates, bargeboards and fascias. He will also check if there has been any water penetration into existing insulation. Solid Wall Insulation

Solid Wall Insulation

What is Solid Wall Insulation?

Solid wall insulation is a way to improve the insulation of your home, reducing heat loss and importantly, keeping costs down.

Unlike cavity walls, solid walls are traditionally built before 1930 with no cavities or gaps in the middle. Therefore solid walls must be insulated internally or externally.

What are the benefits of Solid Wall Insulation?

Homes losing heat are losing money. A poorly insulated house will be costing  significantly more in heating bills than a fully insulated house. Insulation slows the transfer of heat, reducing the amount of energy consumption and  keeping it warmer in winter.

Vice versa insulated walls slow the transfer of heat, so in the summer it will maintain a cooler temperature for a house which uses air conditioning.

Internal Wall Insulation is a fantastic way of increasing the energy efficiency of your home, upgrading your insulation will provide you with a number of benefits including reducing your CO2 emissions, reduced fuel bills, increased thermal comfort and reduced risk of condensation and mould growth.

Is My Home Suitable For Solid Wall Insulation?

Solid Wall Insulation is suitable for your home if:

Important To Consider

  • Will slightly reduce the floor area of any rooms in which it is applied (the thickness of the insulation is around 100mm).
  • Can be quite disruptive, but can be done room by room.
  • Requires skirting boards, door frames and external fittings to be removed and reattached.
  • Can make it hard to fix heavy items to inside walls – although special fixings are available.
  • Cannot be done before fixing any problems with penetrating or rising damp.

I was unsure at first about the idea of free insulation, a new heating system & solar panels. I mean, it does sound a bit far fetched. But to my surprise, it's real. Absolutely delighted tbf.
