To meet the UK climate change targets, we need to rapidly shift away from fossil fuels to cleaner forms of energy. To do this, we need to generate energy from low carbon sources such as solar, wind power and hydrogen, and electrify much of our energy demand, including shifting to electric heat.
If you are switching from an electric or coal/oil based system to an air source heat pump, you will make a significant saving on your energy bills as you’ll be using the outside air for your heating and cooling needs.
Air source heat pumps are suitable for properties with no gas supply and for replacing an inefficient gas boiler.
LA flex or supplier flex may be available for those who do not have a qualifying benefit, but could meet the criteria for flex funding:
Your Home must have an EPC rating of EFG
*An ECO 4 grant will cover all the installation costs of the air source heat pump and solar panels.
Air Source Heat Pump Grants are available under ECO4 for off gas properties and what is even better is they can be installed with Solar PV which will really help to lower energy bills and reduce your carbon footprint.
